BRIDAL HAIR & MAKEUP TRIALS

Bridal trials are compulsory for all brides. Once the bridal booking is secured with a deposit payment, the trial is to be booked within the first 3 months of securing the date.

We do not suggest booking your trial before securing your wedding date with us. As previously stated, wedding dates are not secured until a 50% deposit has been received. If you choose to trial before securing your date, this leaves the public open to placing bookings meaning your date/artist may no longer be available. A refund will not be offered for your trial if this occurs.

Trials are conducted on week days only, to ensure the leisure of ample time and flexibility. We like to allow 1.5-2.5 hours for Hair and/or Makeup trials so there is plenty of time for the consult, application & of course having a good old natter!

All trials are to take place at our spacious, luxe & accessible salon located at 324 Unley Road, Hyde Park. 

We do one look during the trial and complete it to perfection; if time permits we are willing to make slight adjustments to see variation. If you are wanting to try two distinctly different looks, you will need to book another appointment. If trials run over time, additional charges may be incurred ($50 per every half hour). A second trial can be booked subject to availability, the same charges as your first trial will apply. 

Without a trial, we will not accept responsibility if a chosen style or look does not work on a wedding day or there are circumstances where there is a mismatch in communication or desired outcome, and a refund will not be offered. 

We reserve the right to cancel a bridal booking following a trial. A refund of the bridal deposit will be issued, but there are strictly no refunds for trials. In the rare occurrence that we cancel your bridal booking following the trial, circumstances may include (but aren't limited to) the client being uncooperative, making a member of our team feel uncomfortable, or simply because we feel it isn't a good fit.

It is advisable that you familiarise yourself with our portfolio and ensure you are confident in our capabilities and style, before securing a booking. 

BRIDAL TRIAL PREPARATION

Once we have locked in a trial date, please email through any images of inspiration for your desired hair and/or makeup look so we can prepare accordingly.

Makeup trial preparation: If you could simply please arrive with a clean fresh face (obviously if you have come straight from work, we completely understand!)

Hair Styling trial preparation: We generally request hair to be dry & washed the day before (morning or evening) just to allow for some natural oils and texture to come through. However, you are the expert at your own hair and its washing cycle; e.g. If you have naturally oily hair and wash your hair daily, please wash the morning of our booking.

ADMINISTRATION FEE 

A $200 administration fee is included in any bridal bookings (3 persons or more) to cover the time that goes into initial inquiries, general communications, organising of trials, quoting, invoicing, time plans, and adaptations of bookings.

TIME ALLOWANCE

We generally allow 45-60 minutes per makeup application/hair style on the wedding day plus some wiggle-room. This is dependent on the desired looks of each bridal party member (e.g. we will generally allow more time for a bride).

Time is fleeting on a wedding day and we keep this in mind when preparing your time plan. The bridal preparation doesn't have to be a race against the clock, it can be a leisurely relaxing experience where you literally have the time to stop and smell the roses!

HAIR EXTENSIONS

If you don't have the volume or length of hair that is required for the desired hair style, we highly suggest purchasing clip in human hair extensions. 

Please email us with a photo of your hair and the desired look so we can advise if extensions are required. We are affiliated with a hair extension brand and can arrange an in-salon consultation.

If you or a member of your group booking wish to bring their own clip in extensions, we must be advised upon booking to allow additional time. The extensions must be of a high quality human hair to allow heated styling. 

​WET HAIR FEE

An additional $20 Blow Dry Fee will be applied to anyone who arrives in salon or offsite with wet hair. We require our clients to advise if this service is required upon booking, as this will throw off the timeline due to the extra time required to blow out the hair.
