Bridal Terms & Conditions

BRIDAL DEPOSITS 
Immediate payment of a non-refundable 50% deposit is required before a date will be held. The deposit payment will be deducted from the final balance of your booking. Once the deposit payment is received, your date will be secured. By paying the deposit, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions. All payments are strictly non-refundable. 

REMAINING BRIDAL PAYMENTS 
The balance is due one month prior to your wedding date. We will send out your updated remaining balance invoice 6 weeks prior to your wedding date. Should payment not be received by the due date, we have the right to cancel all services for your wedding date. 

IF YOU CHANGE YOUR BRIDAL BOOKING NUMBERS OR DATE 
You can make changes to your bridal booking up until 6 weeks before the agreed upon wedding date. This includes adding/removing services and altering timing. Additional services will only be accepted and timing will only be altered if this works with our availability. If you wish to remove services from your booking after the 6 week cut-off, this will not reduce your final payment. We will not accept extra bookings on the wedding day unless we are sure it will not jeopardise timing and the quality of our work.  

IF YOU CANCEL OR POSTPONE YOUR BRIDAL BOOKING
In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel or postpone your bridal booking, any payments you have made are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, if advised less than 12 weeks before the agreed upon wedding date. This is to cover the fact that we have held the date, and turned away other bookings. If you wish to postpone your wedding date with less than 12 weeks notice from your original date, you will need to pay another non-refundable deposit as this will be treated as a new booking. 

IF WE CANCEL OR CHANGE YOUR BOOKING 
In the unlikely event that we are unable to provide service due to illness or unforeseen circumstances all payments (excluding trial costs) will be immediately refunded. We will work with you to find an alternative reputable artist or salon to cater for your requirements, however any such booking will remain solely the responsibility of yourself. In the case of a group bridal booking with multiple artists assigned, we will offer to focus solely on the bride/bridesmaids and potentially request an earlier start time, and refund any forfeited services. No further compensation will be offered. 

If there is any sign of mistreatment including physical or verbal abuse, or a member of our team is made to feel uncomfortable in any way, we have the right to cancel the booking without refund. In the event of extreme weather conditions where we are physically unable to reach your wedding booking (e.g Bushfire or flood), we reserve the right to cancel your booking. At our discretion, we will consider refunding all monies as a gesture of goodwill (excluding trial costs), depending on the circumstance. 

BRIDAL HAIR & MAKEUP TRIALS 
Bridal trials are compulsory for all brides. As previously stated, wedding dates are not secured until a 50% deposit has been received. If you choose to trial before securing your date, this leaves the public open to placing bookings meaning your date/artist may no longer be available. A refund will not be offered for your trial if this occurs. 
We will focus on one look during the trial and complete it to perfection; if time permits we are willing to make adjustments to see variations. If you are wanting to try two distinctly different looks, you will need to book another appointment. A second trial can be booked subject to availability, the same charges as your first trial will apply. 

THE BRIDEZILLA CLAUSE
Giving a funny name to a serious issue. Unfortunately due to the stress that weddings cause, people don’t always act as they normally would. Due to this we reserve the right to cancel a bridal booking following a trial. A refund of the bridal deposit will be issued, but there are strictly no refunds for trials. In the rare occurrence that we cancel your bridal booking following the trial, circumstances may include (but aren't limited to) the client being uncooperative, making a member of our team feel uncomfortable or mistreatment including physical or verbal abuse.

BRIDAL TRIAL PREPARATION 
Once we have locked in a trial date, please upload any images of inspiration for your desired hair and/or makeup look via the bridal portal. 
Makeup trial preparation: If you could please arrive with a clean fresh face 
Hair Styling preparation: We generally request hair to be dry & washed the day before (morning or evening) just to allow for some natural oils and texture to come through. However, you are the expert at your own hair and its washing cycle; e.g. If you have naturally oily hair and wash your hair daily, please wash the morning of our booking. 

ADMINISTRATION FEE A $250 administration fee is included in any bridal bookings to cover the time that goes into initial inquiries, general communications, organising of trials, quoting, invoicing, time plans, and adaptations of bookings. 

TIME ALLOWANCE 
We allow the following timing on the wedding day so the day runs smoothly. The bridal preparation doesn't have to be a race against the clock, it can be a leisurely relaxing experience where you literally have the time to stop and smell the roses! 
Brides Makeup: 75mins
Makeup: 60mins
Brides Hairstyle 75mins
Hairstyle: 60mins

IN THE EVENT OF DELAYS EXPERIENCED ON THE WEDDING DAY 
If we experience unforeseen delays which are out of our control, refunds will not be given in the event that one or more services are forfeited as a result and no compensation will be offered if we overrun.  No refund or compensation will be offered for delays caused by other wedding vendors, guests, or members of the bridal party. Please ensure that your other suppliers (i.e photographers & videographers) are aware of our timeline & expected completion time. If you suspect any member of your bridal party may pose a challenge in any way, they are encouraged to have a trial to avoid potential delays on the day. 

CLIENT OBLIGATIONS ON THE WEDDING DAY 
Please ensure every member of your party is aware of the time plan on the day. We request that each person is ready 15 mins prior to the scheduled time for hair and makeup. This will ensure there are no delays. 
Prior to having makeup applied or hair styled, please ensure you and your party are prepared to avoid leaving the chair whilst we are working. Please ensure teeth are cleaned, you have been to the toilet and contact lenses are applied (if applicable), before sitting in the chair. Also ensure everyone's faces are cleansed of any makeup or product as we prep the skin with skincare to commence application. 
For their own safety please ensure that children are kept away from our styling tools and products at all times. Styling irons are extremely hot and hazardous, and we will not be held responsible if a child is injured as a result of the parent or carer not being present. 

HAIR EXTENSIONS 
If you don't have the volume or length of hair that is required for the desired hair style, we highly suggest purchasing clip in human hair extensions. Please upload a photo of your hair and the desired look so we can advise if extensions are required. We are affiliated with ZALA hair extensions and can arrange an in-salon consultation. If you or a member of your group booking wish to bring their own clip in extensions, please be aware that only high quality human hair can be heat styled. 

LIABILITY 
You are to inform us of any allergies prior to any makeup application or hair styling. If reactions occur, M&Co Style Bar are not liable. If no known allergies are stated, we cannot be held liable for any reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to you or any other member of your party. We do offer an in-salon consultation to patch test products if you feel this may be a area of concern. 
If you or anyone who you book for are suffering from a contagious illness including (but not limited to) conjunctivitis, eye styes/cysts, cold sores, open wounds/cuts on the face and neck, staph infection, head lice or a flu, we need to be informed and reserve the right to refuse service of any infectious person. 

CLIENT ATTIRE 
For Makeup Applications and Hair Styling we advise button up or wide-necked garments to prevent tampering with the look as we are not responsible for what happens once the service is complete. We will try our best to avoid any spillage of product on your garment, however this is always a risk. We will not be responsible or liable for any dry cleaning or replacement in the event of any accidental soiling.

PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGE COPYRIGHT 
It is imperative that we continue to update our portfolio and demonstrate our work to future prospective clients. Please let us know in advance if you do not wish to be photographed or if you are not happy for us to use your images for social media purposes. We are happy to be photographed on your wedding day. Please do your best to tag @mco.style on socials or credited us as the Makeup and/or Hair Artists. 

YOUR PRIVACY 
Your privacy is taken very seriously. Your personal information will never be used for any purpose other than processing your booking and conducting our service with you. Further, your information will not intentionally be passed on to a third party under any circumstances. 

PAYMENTS 
All remaining bridal booking payments are due 4 weeks before the wedding date. A payment invoice will be sent to you 6 weeks before the wedding date, giving you 2 weeks to organise payment.
